The food was great! I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were over cooked so the server had them sent back and they remade them and they were brought back perfect the second time around and she was absolutely amazing about it! It was definitely a great experience!

This is Mrs. Paul. Paul and I went on Friday during Lent for the all you can eat fish dinner. Everything was cooked perfectly. The fish came out with two huge fillets and I wasn't even able to finish one but we took our leftovers home to enjoy later. Fish was fried crisp and clean, not greasy and the tartar sauce paired well with it. Greenbeans were served Southern style, melted in your mouth with bits of bacon added for flavor. And the hushpuppies were crispy and delicious. Hubs enjoyed his French fries, saying they were not extraordinary but still tasted good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Very much enjoyed our Friday evening meal at Black Bear!

Sherry was our server and was so friendly ! She kept coming back to our table to make sure we were well taken care of . She was a doll & we adored her service ! We ordered a lot of food and had leftovers to take home . The restaurant was pretty clean & spacious . We didn't have to wait at all to be seated - which was pretty good for a Sunday afternoon lunchtime .

We walked into the black bear diner, my husband has just gone through a hip replacement surgery and was walking with a walker. The host, Taz, immediately walked us to the first available table and sat us. This might not seem such a big deal but I have worked in the service industry forever and have always seen the host or hostess take people that were unable to walk far to a table in the back just to make sure the server rotation is complete. He made sure we were seated at the first available table and let me know where I could put my husband's walker. Not only did he do that but when I just was randomly looking around he asked if he could get us anything. He was simply probably the best host I have seen in some time, looking at the big picture. We also had great service from our server, I believe her name was Laurie. The beginning of service always starts with the host or hostess and you were awesome Taz! Thank you for making our day out just so nice

I have always heard how great Black Bear Diners are and I've never gotten a chance to eat at one until tonight. Let me say this much.... It was fantastically awesome.! First of all, let's talk about the setting .... Very open, friendly, well lit with comfortable chairs and clean. Kind of a homestyle restaurant setting which I think makes one fill at home when eating out. I love how basic it is with no fancy menus but newspaper type menus with a lot of things to choose from. They serve breakfast all day and evening.... Which I'm definitely going to go back and try next. Our server, Neal, was most pleasant and made us feel very welcome. He was on his game by getting us drinks right away and then giving us time to look over the menu before coming back and taking our order. Always smiling and very pleasant and making sure we had everything we needed through our entire meal. Returning frequently to make sure we well taking care of and if we needed anything. Thank you again for your awesome service... We really appreciated it! The meal was fantastic.... I had the chicken fried steak with red peeled, mashed potatoes and onion rings, and the steak was cooked to perfection. In all fairness, it was probably the best chicken fried steak. I think I've ever had in my life. The mashed potatoes were also equally as awesome coupled with the onion rings, which were quite tasty. I had a glass of the Huckleberry Lemonade, which I highly recommend because it is quite tasty and well balanced. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food we got. I ended up taking half of the steak home because it was just so much food and I couldn't eat it all at the time. It did make a tasty late night snack for me though and was equally just as good later on. My only regret is I didn't have room for dessert and their desserts look fantastic which I also want to go back and try sometime.. In conclusion, if you've never been to a Black Bear Diner, you need to go.... and I highly recommend this one because the staff is extremely friendly and very courteous.... that coupled with awesome food you will not regret your experience.

Came here with a friend. Good service and average food. Would return. We had the chicken fried steak and meatloaf. The meatloaf looked odd, tasted fine. First time I've had something besides a burger or breakfast food here which are both really good. Had to wait 10 minutes for a cashier to show up as you pay at the door.
